Dr. Fiedler received his medical degree from the State University of New York's Buffalo School of Medicine. During Medical School he won the Dean's Award for highest academic standing and was also named the outstanding student in anatomy. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Magee-Women's Hospital of the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, and completed a prestigious Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. His private practice as a Reproductive Endocrinologist began with a three year tenure in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Fiedler has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions for teaching, research and clinical excellence. Included are the Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Endoscopy, presented by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and a national award for his research in the area of gynecologic laparoscopy. Helping Dr. Fiedler stay abreast of new developments and innovation in infertility treatment are his many professional affiliations, including serving as a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as memberships in the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Medical Societies. Dr. Fiedler is a noted and respected national expert on infertility, having authored an extensive number of publications and abstracts, and he is a frequent speaker and presenter at major medical and infertility conferences.
